As you can probably imagine, Caroline and I spend quite a bit of our time book scouting. Today we wanted to focus on some interesting finds right here at Yesterday's Treasures. I think Caroline found some real gems and something of interest to just about everyone, book person or no. In Booth 77, she found these abridged classics for young readers, $1.50 each. Speaking of classics, Booth 54 has this nice, hardbound copy of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility for $10.00. Over in our own shop, Booth 95, Caroline is especially fond of, The President's Mystery Plot. The plot of the book was proposed by FDR and then each chapter was written by a different prominent mystery writer of the time, including Erle Stanley Gardner of Perry Mason fame. Looking for more of a coffee table item? How about Booth 22's, The World Atlas of Wine? A nice piece for any budget at $8.00. We just can't resist the classics and this set of James Fenimore Cooper is well worth the $12 price tag. Booth 34 is where you'll find this one. Finally, if you are heading out to see the new thriller Gone Girl, why not pick up a nice, later printing of the first edition in dust jacket, $15 in booth 95.
